Bus It campaign to safeguard four key bus routes
Last year Somerset Bus Partnership launched the Bus It campaign to safeguard four key bus routes serving Somerset communities. As a result, passenger numbers increased on the four at-risk routes, and they are safe for the next year. You can read about it on the Somerset Council website.
They have now launched the next phase of their campaign to encourage people to use buses, particularly as the Government have extended the £2 price cap for single fares until December 2024.
None of the routes as risk has a direct connection to Wembdon. They are:
- 25 – Taunton to Dulverton: stopping at: Taunton, Milverton, Wiveliscombe, Norton Fitzwarren, Cotford St Luke, Hillcommon, Waterow, Shillingford, Bampton, Langley Corner, Brushford, Dulverton
- 28 – Taunton – Minehead: stopping at: Taunton, Norton Manor, Bishops Lydeard, Seven Ash, Bicknoller, Gliddons, Williton, Watchet, Washford, Dunster, Minehead
- 54 – Taunton to Yeovil: stopping at: Taunton, Henlade, Wrantage, Thornfalcon, Fivehead, Curry Rivel, Pitney, Langport, Somerton, Ilchester, Yeovil
- 58 – Yeovil to Wincanton: stopping at: Yeovil, Nether Compton Corner, Sherbourne, Obourne, Milbourne Port, Henstridge, Stalbridge, Templecombe, Horsington, North Cheriton, Wincanton
