Wembdon Parish Council is fully committed to following government guidance and instructions during the coronavirus pandemic.

What you need to do

Stay at home as much as possible

  • Follow government advice on the wearing of face coverings
  • Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people not in your household
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

Anyone can spread the virus.

Specific measures in place locally

  • Parish Council meetings have been resumed as virtual meetings using Zoom
  • The children’s playground is now open – please avoid the spread of the virus by social distancing and sanitising hands and anything else which has been in contact with the apparatus
  • The park remains open for exercise, but stay 2 metres away from other people, unless they live with you
  • The allotments remain open, but you should follow National Allotment Society guidance
  • The Village Hall is open for some regular pre-booked activities
  • St George’s Church has suspended all physical Services but is streaming a Sunday morning service on Youtube
  • A Wembdon community support group has been set up, to give practical and emotional support for the elderly and vulnerable
  • A number of local businesses are able to deliver food and other essential supplies to those who are self-isolating
  • The free community bus service between Bridgwater and Minehead has been suspended
