Neighbourhood Plan

Why do we need a Neighbourhood Plan?

If we have one:

The Planners have to take account of what we want.  It will help to get grants for projects to improve village facilities. We can get 25% of the levy the developers pay on any new building.  The Wembdon Parish Plan in 2008 was vital to getting grants for the hall and playing fields but it does not have the legal force of a Neighbourhood Plan.  We can’t necessarily change what is in the Sedgemoor Local Plan but we can say how any development would look and how it affects the village.

A public briefing will be held between 4pm and 7pm on 11th December at the Village Hall, explaining the plan and the processes involved.
