Wembdon Parish Council and Wembdon Community Association have reluctantly decided to cancel the planned VE Day celebrations because the current restrictions. Instead, WCA will be holding a VE-Day themed Scarecrow Competition:
- Build a scarecrow in your front garden (it must be visible from the road
- Decorate it to reflect the VE Day 75th Anniversary celebrations
- Register your entry by sending your name, address and contact number to wembdon.community@btinternet.com or by phone to Graham on 01278 457973
- Decorate your house as well if you like
Do this before Friday 8th May – judging will take place during the following week.
